Assessment & recognition

The students are assessed in each component of the programme: the Teaching Units, the Practical Placement and the Interculturality module.

The professional study resulting from the practical placement fieldwork is presented at the end of the training programme before a viva panel made up of professionals from different European countries.

The weight of each component in the evaluation process is as follows:

Teaching units 40%
Interculturality module 20%
Professional study from placement including:
  • Written report
  • Viva
  • Field and academic assessment

Trainees who achieve satisfactory results in all the components of the programme will receive:

  • An AESCULAPIUS certificate, approved by the schools of public health which are taking part in the programme.
  • In accordance with the new dispositions recommended by the European Commission from January 1st 2006, a EUROPASS document can be awarded to all the trainees who have followed the training course outside their residential country.
  • Within the E.C.T.S. system, the EUROPHAMILI training course will be considered as worth up to 30 credits for post graduate students.
