Claudia GUEDES DE ALMEIDA (PORTUGAL)

Alumnus on the 2002 session

"Integrating EUROPHAMILI was for me a great opportunity to learn more about the Portuguese system of public health in comparison with other European systems. I also gained maturity and confidence in myself. After EUROPHAMILI, I received propositions of interesting jobs in the field of risk management and health care management. The concrete aspect of the EUROPHAMILI education obviously played an important role."

Jean-Pierre AUGUSTE (FRANCE)

Alumnus on the 2002 session

"The education of EUROPHAMILI is very rich and complete. I believe that the Teaching Units related to law and ethics were for me the most profitable. Legislations are often very different from one country to another and to know the subtleties allowed me to move faster in my work of collaboration with my foreign partners. I appreciated to confront my own methods of management with those of my European colleagues."

Sabina MOLL (DENMARK)

Alumnus on the 2003 session

"The course has indeed opened my eyes for different ways of doing things. It made me realise that there is a strong cross-border culture in healthcare (what we have is basically good, we just need some adjustments). I would recommend the programme to new students. To me it seems like one of the ways to remove ineffective barriers in managing healthcare. It simply opens one’s eyes. It may not seem so in the short term but I am positive that everyone will benefit from it in the long term.Sabina Moll (Denmark), trainee on the 2003 Nottingham (United Kingdom) course"

Christine MANEZ (FRANCE)

Alumnus on the 2004 session

"My three month EUROPHAMILI session in Lodz was a fantastic experience, on both personal and professional sides. The teaching units allowed me to learn about health management and the different European systems. On a personal point of view, this training was very rich for me: meeting a lot of different people, trainees and trainers, from Western and Eastern Europe helped me to develop a useful network.I feel now able to start and build a transnational cooperation in the hospital where I am working.Christine Manez (France), trainee on the 2004 Lodz (Poland) course "

Jurgita VLADICKIENE (LITHUANIA)

Alumnus on the 2004 session

"European management training course EUROPHAMILI enriched my theoretical knowledge on health care management issues as well as enhanced capabilities on practical problem solving. The new experience I already apply in the up-dating of teaching programmes and methods at my University. A wider understanding of the health and health care systems from different European countries perspectives with a particular emphasis on transnational and cultural aspects encouraged to some future collaboration activities with participants of the course. I'd like to say many thanks to the course organizers for this excellent professional training in management of health care.Jurgita Vladickiene (Lithuania), trainee on the 2004 Lodz (Poland) course "

Liliana DUDEK-TULISZKA (POLAND)

Alumnus on the 2005 session

"This course gives a great and rare opportunity to learn about different cultural points of view on the same issue; moreover, we learned that in spite of differences we can be creative, find compromise and cooperate while making our projects and presentations. Analytical thinking, organized way of presenting opinions or reports, courage and belief in our own abilities to solve problems – these are main practical skills that we gained or improved during the course. I strongly appreciate also new friendship; real atmosphere of supportiveness, serious and funny discussions we had among students and tutors; meeting fantastic people and discovering France was a very enriching aspect of participating in EUROPHAMILI.Liliana Dudek Tuliszka (Poland), trainee on the 2005 Rennes (France) course"

Zilvinas DARULIS (LITHUANIA)

Alumnus on the 2005 session

"I am really happy having the opportunity to experience the program of EUROPHAMILI for many reasons. First, it is the possibility to get in touch with different people from various European countries and share the ideas, skills, attitudes, proposing some collaboration perspectives for the future. Then, we all faced the challenge of Interculturality which was probably as important as the challenge of acquiring new knowledge. We experienced facing the problems and decision-making within the health area in Europe, which was a really big issue and nice experience, since the participants and teachers in the course had different backgrounds and skills. Analysing and understanding the common health problems and seeking the best solution was one of the main issues for me, and we did it quite well tackling all the “hot” questions during the course. Despite different cultures, ways of thinking, various attitudes, beliefs and values, we all developed important skills in intercultural communication and tolerance which I think is vital for international cooperation within the enlarged Europe. I think that the program is really very important and necessary for the future health managers and decision-makers in health areas particularly.Zilvinas Darulis (Lithuania), trainee on the 2005 Rennes (France) course"
