Border care contracting between a hospital and an insurer
The hospital St Lucas is awaiting signature of an agreement to allow patients affiliated to the Dutch insurer OZ to benefit from its facilities. The medical cares included in the agreement would be defined in advance, as well as the procedures to follow. The fields proposed are orthopaedics, maternity, plastic surgery, haemodialysis. This would be expandable to other areas in the second phase. However, at this stage, the Dutch insurer, already involved with other hospitals, has still not signed up.
Cancer Network Nice-Cuneo - Border region
Specialised consultations, exchange of medical staff, exchange of medico-technical services, common medical protocols, evaluation of care practices, co-organisation of a European scientific meeting (2000 in Cuneo, 2001 in Nice). New projects may be adopted after assessment of the co-operation.
Co-operation between Dutch insurers and German hospitals
Joint arrangement between Dutch hospitals and health care insurers (in Groningen, Drenthe, Winschoten and Emmen) and German hospitals (in Leer, Papenburg and Meppen).
European Network of Health Promoting Schools
Creation of an international consensus on the concept of a health promotion school. Aim: achieving healthy lifestyles by developing supportive environments conducive to the propotion of health. Funded by the European Commission under the programme for Health Promotion.
Co-operation between 2 Swedish hospitals and 1 Danish Hospital
Co-operation between the County Hospital of Halmstad, the Hospital of Varberg (Sweden) and the hospital of Aarhus (Denmark). Works on the following issues: "the patient friendly hospital", "IT development in healthcare", "management structures".
Central purchasing "Gesund Vereint" ("Health united")
Agreement with a German purchaser concerning central purchasing.
Co-operation Copenhagen-Skâne (medical)
Risk and vulnerability analysis regarding emergencies and continuity plans. Use of intensive care unit beds. Peer review of clinical quality for neurosurgery, neurology and urology.
Community of hospitals
Collaboration between the University Hospital of Nancy and the university hospitals of Monza (Italy) and Moorfields (London). -Staff exchange -Participation at the -Collaboration with German hospitals in medical imaging -Participation in the Italian Association of Hospital Managers
Cross border co-operation for rescue ambulances
Working meetings organized. Visit of the helicopter station by the professionals from Sarrebruck.
