Radiotracers for in vivo assessment in Biological Function
Promotion of co-operation in the development of radiotracers for biomedical applications. Supported by the COST programme "European Co-operation in the field of scientific and Technical Research".
Referral for emergency care and some complicated planned care
A cooperation has been set up between the Västra Goheland County Council and the Friederikstad hospital (nearest hospital on the Norwegian side) for emergency care (particularly trauma cases). For planned care complicated cases (e.g. neurosurgery, thorax surgery, plastic surgery, organ transplants) are treated in Götenburg (Sweden) after the referral by the Norway County Council and the Rikshygdeverket hospital (Norway).
Radiology cooperation for smaller hospitals - border region
The central hospital of Salzburg accepts patients from neighbouring smaller German hospitals of Freilassing, Berchtesgaden and Bad Reichenhall for interventional radiological measures and CT, 24 hours a day, and for MRI during regular working hours.
Provision of haemodialysis care - border region
This project allows the provision of haemodialysis care by Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry (UK) for patients of the Louth region (Ireland). It includes haemodialysis, outpatient supervision and inpatient care. It allows provision of haemodialysis care for up to 7 patients, 3 times a week.
European Network for Smoking Prevention
Development of a strategy for co-ordinated action among organisations active in tobacco control in Europe by sharing information and experience and through co-ordinated activities and joint projects. Supported by the Community Action programme against cancer of the European Commission.
The Öresund centre for foetal medicine
The project is aimed at creating a centre of excellence in foetal medicine (diagnosis and therapy) by sharing capacities and rationalizing the organisation. It is a basis for the training of doctors and continuous research at a high level. Two consultant positions have been created: one in charde of patient and the other in charge of the research issues.
Organ donation and transplantation
Research & development. Common programme & waiting list for pancreas transplantation. Financing: INTERREG II until end of May 2001.
Oresund centre for foetal medicine
Joint complementary capacities. Basis for training of doctors. Continued research at high level. Aim: creation of a centre of excellence for foetal medicine, including diagnosis and therapy.
Nice-Italy cross border co-operation
Cooperation between the University Hopsital of Nice and Italian hospitals. -Telemedicine -Exchanges in vascular surgery protocols -Follow up of patients with VIH -Centre of excellence in integral pathology -emergencies financing: INTERREG III
Medico-technical cross border co-operation
Medico technical cooperation: magnetic resonance, scintigraphy. Area covered: Lorraine (French & Belgian) Financing: INTERREG
