Development of a screening tool for te identification of intimate partner violence

Occurence, detection and treatment of adenovirus infection in patients undergoing allogeneic stem cell transplantation
Quantification of plasma adenoviral DNA load in a multi-centre prospective study using real-time quantitative PCR for disease monitoring, prognostication and monitoring of responsees to antiviral drugs. Funded by the European Commission under the "Quality of Life and Management of Living Resources" programme.
Pilot cross-care elective surgery service - border region
This project is supported by the CAWT "Cooperation And Working Together".. This co-operation aims at reducing waiting lists for elective surgery (particularly hernias) in Craigaven hospital (Northern Ireland) sending patients to Monaghan hospital (Rep. of Ireland). This avoids patients going to Glasgow. In the pilot phase, the taget was patients who had been waiting more than 18 months. Sending 2 patients a week is envisaged. The patients' response have been very positive until now.
Optimally adjusted care of patients with severe dermatological diseases with focus on Epidermolysis bullosa - border region
Planned from 2004 ; fields covered: diagnostics, research, rehabilitation, social environment, nutrition, education of patients and relatives, development of a network system with the Sanitas Alpenklinik Inzell (Germany); Austrian patients (children) already participate in the summer camps of the DE clinic; "optimal care" means adjustment to the age of patients and the status of disease; the aim is to harmonize the resources of both involved hospitals and to supplement each other

Detection in expression by proprietary and established technologies to develop clinical markers and new treatment for prostate disorders. Funded by the European Commission under the "Quality of Life and Management of Living Resources" programme.
Quality management in psychiatric public hospitals
Improvement of health care quality in psychiatric hospitals through a global management system. Definition of common quality standards. Identification of present processs. Development of a trainig program. Launching of a paticipative quality management process in a pilot service. Common platform completing the partners' different quality approaches. Prevention of Depression in Europe
Aims of the project: -to gather information concerning the impact of depression on 3 target groups (children/adolescent in educational settings, adults in workplace, elderly people) -to evaluate models of good practice in the promotion of mental health, -to disseminate the results. Funde by the European Commission under the programme for Health Promotion.
Radiotherapy centre of excellence satellite in Bolzano
During the implementation phase (7-10 years), Innsbruck hospital takes over the medical responsability. The project includes staff rotation, education of Italian staff, telemedical conferences, visits to patients in Bolzano by Austrian doctors, therapy planning, electronic patient file and communications.
Plastic surgery - border region
Patients are sent from Lörrach to Basel for consultations and treatment.
