Development of a Europe-wide network on Mental Health Promotion. Aims: -to raise awareness for promotion & prevention -to support activities targeting people up to 25. -to support research, training and knowledge trasfer -to develop policy instruments -to provide a platform to support the initiatives of candidate countries. Funded by the European Commission under the programme for "Health Promotion".
Mental Health Promotion of Children up to 6 years of Age
Aim of the project: -to launch a EU-wide project on mental health promotion of children up to 6, -to adopt a concept of mental health for these children, -to identify models of good practice throughout Europe, -to organise the exchange of information between Member States, -to develop standards in mental health promotion -to collaborate with existing networks. Funded by the European Commission under the programme 'Health Promotion'.
METE - Medical Assistance and Therapy in Europe
Development of guidelines and reference materials with regard to the initial preparation and continuous training of medical and paramedical personnel. Analyses of hospital training needs (through questionnaires & interviews) and assessment. Dissemination through reports and a dedicated website. Financing: Leonardo programme.
Cross-border partnership Czech Republic-Poland
Access for patients in the Polish-Czech region to specialised and hospital care in the field of rescue medicine, ophtalmology, gynaecology and obstetrics, traumatic and orthopedic surgery.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
Improvement of the knowledge for a rational use of Hyperbarid Oxygen Therapy to set up specific guidelines for the implementation and development of clinical HBO centres and to provide recommendations for HBO treatment. Supported by the COST programme European "Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research".
Methodologies for producing EU-Wide comparable disease-specific morbidity data
The main aim of the project was to develop an electronic inventory of the mainsources of morbidity data in the different Member States. This was achieved by creating aMicrosoft Access database to serve as an encyclopaedia of available data sources Funded by the European Commission under the "Health Monitoring Programme".

Improvement of the accuracy of predictions based on scientific information gathered during the development of new drugs to ensure their efficacy and safety and during the development of industrial chemicals to ensure their sustainability. Monitoring socio-economic differences in health indicators in the European Union
Development of a practical guide for users of present and future monitoring systems, which helps them to select and apply the analytical methods that: -measure the association socio-economic indicators - health indicators -describe time trends -explain these trends & evaluate the effects. Funded by the European Commission under the "Health Monitoring" programme.
