ETEC - Enhanced Training in European Cardiology through of ICT
Development of a highly targeted educational web site. Steps of the project: -Identification of the best possible medical treatment for the major causes of morbidity and mortality; -Assessment as to whether or not best practice is being carried out across Europe; -Assessment of the educational/training activities across Europe in the key areas; educational content will then be created to enhance existing activities. Results disseminated through the web site, cardiology journals and conferences. Financing: Leonardo project

This project will facilitate the increasing mobility of nurses/care workers between health services in Europe. Production of materials which introduce the students to the type of care provision and different forms of care work in partner countries (national language and English) On-the-job learning period abroad. Creation of a ‘Handbook for the Care of Children and the Elderly’ and a ‘Manual for Work Placement Supervisors’. Financing: Leonardo project

EUCOMP 2
Establishment of a European system of standardised descriptions and comparisons of health care systems to create the basis of common EU health care statistics as the foundation for routine data collection and comparative analysis.
