Research project in gynaecology - Sweden/Denmark Border Region
Project conducted between 1999 and 2003. Study of preclampsia and hazardous condition of both the pregnant mother and the child. Biopsies taken in Lund where clinical and bio-chemical examinations are performed. Biopsies performed in the Department of Pathology in Herlev.

Setting up of a GEIE in Thiérarche - France/Belgium Border region
Setting up of a GEIE (European Group of Economic Interest) in order to study a co-operation between the hospitals of Hirson and Chimay. Co-operation covered: - Common reflection on psychosocial emergencies, pneumo-oncology, ambulatory medicine. - Participation of the Belgian team to medical on calls. - Technical and administrative collaboration: measurement of efficiency of the hospitals and data collecting. Standardization of management of occupational exposure to HIV/blood-borne
Aim: Rational management of occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens in health care workers (HCW), specifically concerning antiretroviral post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). Implementation of standardized protocols to monitor occupational exposures to blood-borne pathogens, to educate HCW in preventing occupational exposures and in reporting those which occur, and to guide post-exposure management including prophylaxis and follow up. European Commission fundings.
