Exchange of professionals: Örebro hospital -Riga 7th hospital
Latvian doctors from Riga visit Örebro hospital. After 1997, the project has been funded by the Eastern European Committee and focused on cardiology with stays of 1-3 months. Between 1993 and 2001, 40 doctors and nurses have come to Örebro for education. Financing: Eastern European Committee
Euregional Association between German Hospitals and a Dutch Insurer
In order to shorten waiting lists, Dutch patients are referred to German hospitals by the AMICON insurance company (Netherlands). This co-operation started in October 2001 for 3 years. This project is supported by the INTERREG III project.
Fight against drug addiction and care for the drug addicts in the Haut-Doubs region - Border region
Global care and follow up of the drug addicts with methadone provided in common by Swiss and French health care centres. Regular meetings between French and Swiss institutions in order to promote co-operation and common training meetings.
Finnish-Russian Diphteria project
Exchange of epidemiological information. Creation of a network between the institutions. Exchange of knowledge on vaccination programmes and clinical practices. Symposium organised in common. Distribution of vaccines. Equipment. Diagnosis devices. Scientific exchanges and molecular research on the bacteria.
Hand treatment of patients : Copenhagen-Malmö
Regular meetings, discuss procedures and problems in connection with preoperative evaluation of the patient and technical aspects. Occasionally operate patients together. Publication in Journal of Hand Surgery.
Use of Swiss based helicopter by French hospitals
Use of the Swiss based REGA ambulance helicopter service in case of emergency when a helicopter is needed on the French side. All the demands are centralised in REGA call centre in Zurich.
Neuropsychiatry: Sonnenberg-Ettelbruck. Border region
Twinning arrangement between the Hospital of Sonnenberg (Germany) and the Hospital of Ettelbruck (Luxembourg).
Treatment of highly infectious patients: Innsbruck-Munich.
Highly infectious patients from Austria are transported to Munich for treatment. The cost is shared between Munich and Innsbruck. Aim: Quality and cost efficiency
Transcard Project. Border region
Card allowing French and Belgian patients to get treated in the other country without any administrative problem. This project concerns the 8 hospitals in the Thiérarche region.
Telemedicine Project: Mons-Valenciennes. Border region.
Pilot project of telemedicine between the hospitals of Valenciennes and the hospital Ambroise Paré of Mons.
