Background
My name is Samuel Nowakowski and I have a Ph-D in Control Systems at the Henri Poincare University since 1989. I have developed research activities in the field of failure diagnosis in complex systems and was qualified to manage research in 1996. From 1994 to 1999, I was at the head of the department of Computer sciences and the department of Information technology in the University Institute of Technology in the Henri Poincare University. In 2000, I joined a European Editor of Thematic TV Channels to develop its international multimedia departement. For four years, I was at the head of this departement and I developed interaction between European TV channels (Italy, Germany, Poland, Spain, Sweden, ...) and web technologies (interactive video, broadband, ...). In 2003, I came back to the University and worked as project leader on an European Project, STIMENT (STImulated ENTrepreneurship) – PEROU (Project for EuRopean Open University) in the field of elearning with partners from Sweden, Poland, Italy and Finland. I also participated in a LEONARDO project called MonaLisa, with partners from Spain and Portugal, which is devoted to the development of a distance learning platform with courses in the field of Industrial Maintenance. I have also been involved in the developement of collaborative websites. I am an author and co-author of numerous papers in international conferences proceedings and in international publications.
I am currently involved in the development and management of European projects in the field of Lifelong learning and eLearning and I represent Henri Poincaré Université in EUCEN.
