Background
I have a medical background and graduated the Medical University of Varna in 1990.
I have been working as an occupational physician at the Regional Hygiene & Epidemilology Inspectorate.
Since 1995 a have worked as a university teacher and a researcher at the Medical University of Varna teaching disciplines within the Public Health field (Bioethics, Modern Epidemiology and Social Medicine) to undergraduate and postgraduate medical, healthcare management and nursing students. I have acquired a specialty in Social Medicine & Health Care Management. My additional specialisation in public health is gained during short courses and training programmes in Edinburgh, Cambridge, Maastricht, Prague and Cardiff.
I concluded my PhD at the University of Glamorgan, UK, which is in the area of global health promotion policies cross-cultural transfer.
I have experience in international projects participation and do enjoy working in international team. My academic research interests are in the area of EU public policies implementation; global policies cross-cultural transfer to localities; comparative cross-national health policy research; patient?s rights; health data protection and confidentiality.
