My basic background is medicine. I graduated Medical University of Lodz in 1992. Additional education in public health I gained during postgraduate studies in Poland and next at School of Public Health at Albany N.Y, USA.
Since 1997 I am involved in the teaching process of specialist in public health and occupational medicine not only in didactic activities but also in curriculum development and co-ordination.
Since 2000 I am a faculty member of the Department of Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology at Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Lodz. As a researcher I am involved in analysis of health effects of asbestos exposure based on data from monitoring and screening program of former asbestos ?cement plant workers in Poland.
